What is the SECRET trait needed to keep the weight off?

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF! That’s it! Yes, it’s super cheesy, but believing in yourself is an important trait you need to keep the weight off. It’s backed by a lot of science and totally in your control.

A team of Dutch researchers analyzed the published data on successful weight loss maintenance. After a lot of number crunching, they found several traits were indicative of weight loss maintenance (and, of course, several were linked to weight regain). Turns out age, gender, socioeconomic status, prior weight, prior physical activity level, etc. were NOT indicative of someone’s ability to keep off that weight they lost. What did matter?

1) HIGH SELF PHYSICAL WORTH

2) HIGH SELF-EFFICACY FOR EXERCISE (Your belief in yourself to stick to your exercise.)

3) Oh, and eating more fruits and veggies and drinking less sugary drinks. Duh!

But seriously, my take away from this? It doesn’t matter who you are, how much money you make, or how much you weigh/exercise when you start your journey.
